Public Partnership Forum

Welcome to the Public Partnership Forum (PPF) page. On this page you will find information on our PPF; including how it works and how it benefits patients, the public and our members. It also explains the various levels of involvement within the PPF and highlights some of the projects where members get involved.

Background

NHS 24’s PPF was established in February 2007. It includes members of the public from across Scotland who work together to ensure that our service is developed through public involvement and is accessible to patients and people from Scotland’s diverse communities.

Members can represent themselves, their local PPF or their local community group.

Members of the forum are involved at different membership levels. By introducing four membership levels, you can choose how involved and informed you wish to be about our service and future developments.

Levels of membership

  • Level 1: Active membership in our PPF Steering Group.
  • Level 2: Active membership and attendance at specific meetings.
  • Level 3: Kept informed and willing to respond to PPF activities.
  • Level 4: Kept informed but not interested in attending meetings.

The PPF Steering Group has five formal meetings a year and is jointly chaired by NHS 24’s Director for Patient Focus Public Involvement and an elected member of the group.  In addition to the Steering Group meetings other meetings can be scheduled throughout the year, including the self assessment process.
