Race Equality Scheme

The NHS 24 Race Equality Scheme was first published in November 2005. A copy of that first Scheme can be read via the following link.

In the course of 2008 we have, in partnership with REACH, a community based organisation representing the views and experiences of black ethnic minority communities, revisited, reviewed and revised our Scheme and its Action Plan.

We consulted on a draft review and amended it in light of what people told us.  Early in November 2008 we adopted the following Race Equality Scheme Review & Action Plan.  You will find this tells you what we have done in the first 3 years of our original RES, what lessons we have learned from that experience, and what we plan to do in changing how we deliver services and how we operate as an employer, so that we can deliver measurable race equality in all that we do.
