Equality & Diversity

Gender Equality Scheme

This covered the period 2007-10 and has now come to the end of its shelf-life. For a progress report on what we achieved in the course of our Gender Equality Scheme Goals, read our various annual reports on equality and diversity, ‘Delivering Equality, Embracing Diversity’ available elsewhere on this web site. A copy of our original Gender Equality Scheme is available via the links below.

In line with our new duties on equality under the Equality Act 2010, we will use the next year to engage with various communities and organisations to set our Gender Equality Outcomes, which we will publish by April 2012. If you have any views on what these might need to be, do let us know.

Part of our wide range of duties on gender equality includes a particular focus on delivering equal pay. In 2008 we conducted our first Equal Pay Review. In brief, that Review provided evidence that we are delivering equal pay for the bulk of our staff on Agenda for Change salary bands. A copy of that Review is available via the following links.

We repeated this Review in 2009 and incorporated an extended analysis of equal pay. In addition to revisiting equal pay in terms of gender, we conducted a Review in relation to ethnicity and age. A copy of the 2009 Equal Pay Review is available via the following links.

In 2010 we continued to conduct an analysis of our pay system and what outcomes it delivers for our staff. A copy of this Equal Pay Review, which included an analysis of pay outcomes for staff who are disabled, is available below.
